Stacey Dougherty is a professional electric bassist who performs with original rock band Room for Mojo. She also appears weekly with the Invitational Band at legendary John and Peter’s in New Hope, members have included Michael Hampton (Kidd Funkadelic/PFunk), Mickey Melchiondo (Dean Ween/Ween), Bill Fowler (Sound of Urchin) and Scott Rednor (Brothers Keeper). Stacey has freelanced regionally with various groups (Wabi Sabi, Bill & Fred’s Excellent Adventure, Calle Bere & the Attitude), and music theatre productions; Ms. Dougherty also appeared for several seasons with the Bucks County Community College Symphonic Band (on clarinet).
Stacey has provided customized music instruction for more than two decades. She attended both Temple University (Jazz Performance Major), and Bucks County Community College (Music Performance), and was fortunate to study with Ron Velosky, Ben Schachter, Tom Lawton, and Terrell Stafford. In addition to electric bass Stacey studied double bass and clarinet.
