My name is George Bond and I have been playing music for as long as I can remember. I started taking lessons as a very young boy at a local music store in Philadelphia. I then studied classical guitar and piano at the renowned Settlement School. I spent four years studying theory and harmony under Harry J. Brown at George Washington High School in Philadelphia, and after that, entered West Chester University as a music major.
After college, I became a professional musician, and spent a number of years playing clubs and events in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area as well as touring nationally on the hotel & dance club circuit. From the mid 80’s until the present, I have been active recording and playing live with many original and cover bands.
I have been teaching for many years. Among the places I have taught are Specialty Music and Clyde Peters School of Music in Levittown PA, George’s Music in Feasterville PA, and Philadelphia Guitar Instruction. I feel that my experience and technical knowledge make me uniquely qualified as a teacher of guitar. I have had a long history of success with my students, and I believe that I can teach almost anyone to play.
